Registered Dental Coach® (RDC) Designation Program
Building A Vibrant Dental Coaching Community Worldwide!
The Dental Coach Academy offers coach-learning initiatives that include a professional coach designation, coach-consultancy and one-on-one coaching services for doctors and their practice.
Registered Dental Coach®
This designation program is:
- Specifically designed for dentists and dental industry professionals who want to coach within the dental practice
- A streamlined advance study program for dentists who have significant professional and business experience who are interested in coaching their colleagues
This designation is awarded to those individuals who pass a screening interview, successfully complete an accelerated business and dental focused coach training program that includes demonstrating both fundamental and advanced coaching skills.

- The difference between coaching, consulting and other professional interactions
- The key skills necessary to be an effective coach
- Specific tools to use with common coaching issues found in the dental practice

Eligibility Requirements
Dental Coach Academy® participants must have:
- Five years of professional and business experience
- Transitioning from manager to coach
- High coachability index
- Value relationships
- A passion for personal growth and development
This course is appropriate for those who want to learn an alternative model to typical management and the philosophy and skill set used in coaching dentists. Dentists and dental industry professionals are common in the Registered Dental Coach® program.
This course is NOT appropriate for those seeking to become ONLY personal coaches or who have not had experience either formally or informally coaching others.

Program Outcomes
By the end of the Dental Coach Academy designation program, you will have:
- Ability to apply coaching competencies to everyday situations in your practice
- Tools to enhance and support your coaching like: Power Practice Questions, Leadership Coaching Model, Emotional Intelligence Model, Leadership and Professional Levels of Satisfaction, and Leader’s Goal Setting
- A practical and enjoyable experience in a hands-on workshop designed to maximize learning and the rapid application of concepts
- A clear understanding of the difference between consulting, coaching and counseling
- Access to key coaching tools for individual and workplace issues
- A demonstrated knowledge of the Challenge and Inspire coaching process
- Understand and appropriately use assessments in the coaching process
- Coaching tool kit coupled with practical tools and techniques to build strong coaching relationships
- Increased comfort with the process of coaching doctors to be better leaders of their practice
Detailed Steps To Register and Obtain
Registered Dental Coach® (RDC) Designation
The Registered Dental Coach® designation is granted
by the Dental Coach Academy (DCA)
To obtain this designation, you must successfully complete an approved Registered Dental Coach® (RDC) Designation Program.
The steps are:
- Pass a screening interview with the Registered Dental Coach® Instructor (see next section for list of locations, dates and instructors). You will need to meet these minimum qualification standards:
- Five years of professional and business experience
- A demonstrated passion for growth and development
- Submit the program registration form and remit full payment of the RDC Program to the Dental Coach Academy before commencement of program.
- Successfully complete all the Registered Dental Coach (RDC) program requirements within six months of course start date. These requirements include completing a minimum of 24 hours of coaching clients with a minimum of 3 different clients. Three of those clients must complete coaching evaluations which indicate the client's perspective on the coaching experience.
- Submit completed work to the Registered Dental Coach® Instructor for review and approval.
- Once the Registered Dental® Instructor has determined that the participant has successfully completed the requirements, the instructor will forward the participant's name to Dental Coach Academy.
- The Dental Coach Academy ® will contact the participant regarding details for receiving the Registered Dental Coach® designation and certificate.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
There is a 50% refund for cancellation 30 days prior to the program start date and no refund if you cancel less than 30 days prior to the program start date. However, all proceeds can be applied to future classes within the same calendar year and any monies paid are transferable to other individuals within the same business practice.
